Mohaq; Sus mohawquus

Description;

Mohaqs are boar-like herbivores that feed on small plants and vegetation within caves and caverns. Although they are classified as a prehistorae pet, there have been no recorded sightings of babies or eggs. It is believed that Mohaqs remain at their hidden nesting grounds until they are old enough to leave and survive on their own. Mohaq's are well known for the large "Mohawk" display that their hair forms, it is believed that the males have a larger display, and that it plays a role in attracting mates.

Behaviour;

Mohaqs are crafty and irritable Verpets that prefer to get what they want and when they want it. Although they can be quite docile and friendly towards one another, they won't hesitate to get into scuffles when agitated or if their boundaries are overstepped. Despite their mood swings, Mohaqs are surprisingly non-territorial due to growing up in close proximity of others of their kind throughout their lives.

Habitat;

Mohaqs have only been found in select caverns and underground networks that they can thrive within. Most believe that they remain near where their nesting grounds would have been years and years before. A Mohaq will migrate if it cannot find any sources of food or water, but because of their large numbers and their varying habits, Mohaqs rarely have to worry about predators; allowing them freedom to roam in their place of residence.
