Charow; Carduae parvus

Description;

Charow are small bird-like Verpets. They have short, stumpy beaks which are most effective at cracking seeds. Their wings are also small and not ideal for flying long distance, but they are capable of short bursts of speed.

Behaviour;

They are highly social birds by nature. Charow live in large flocks and almost never separate from them. If a lone Charow does find itself in any danger, it can call to the rest of its flock using one of their many complicated chirp patterns and receive backup in no time at all. Charow make wonderful starting pets and are friendly once they come to trust their owners, but due to their small size they should not be left alone with larger Verpets.

Habitat;

Charow most commonly live in fields, where they can feed on seeds whilst concealed in the long grass. During nesting season, Charow will congregate nearer to the forests in scrub bushes, where they lay their eggs on the ground at the base of a bush to keep them somewhat protected.
