Cephalin; Pentapus cheerii
Description;Cephalins are Verpets akin to octopi. They have uncharacteristically large eyes with slit pupils, and are almost always wearing a slight grin, giving this species a seemingly wicked look. Their five tentacles are quite muscular, allowing them to make short trips onto land should fleeing prey attempt to leave the water, or even to flee from predators themselves.
Behaviour;Despite their expression, Cephalins make intelligent and friendly pets. Even wild Cephalins will approach divers to investigate, and may even steal loose items on the diver's person. While they are highly intelligent for a sea-faring creature, an owned Cephalin has limited trainability, and their soft bodies make them less amazing coliseum pets.
Habitat;Cephalins spend a majority of their time in the ocean, usually hugging close to coral reefs and rocky outcrops for protection. They may make short trips on land to catch food or avoid becoming food themselves, but their skin dries out in a matter of minutes, forcing them to return to the water.
